    This is a sweet yet emotional second-chance hockey romance with a celebrity twist. Both characters have carried their love for years, but real-life pressures—fame, ambition, distance—haven’t magically disappeared. Watching them decide whether to adapt together or finally let go gives this story real emotional weight.

    Lexi goes through a lot, especially from her former bandmates, but she’s surrounded by strong support once she allows herself to lean on it. The book does a great job of weaving their shared history into the present-day narrative, giving depth to their reunion and reminding readers why they belonged together in the first place.

    While there’s a solid amount of spice—including one scene set in a sex club—the plot remains front and center. The romance, character growth, and team dynamics carry the story just as much as the steam.

    The book ends with a bit of a teaser for future installments—not for Zaan and Lexi (their story is largely wrapped up), but for other teammates who seem primed for their own romances.
