Carolina is a short, very curvy FMC (often referred to in the book as fat), bilingual, and deeply insecure due to years of abuse and mistreatment. She’s a virgin who has never had a boyfriend, despite being asked out—because her self-esteem is so low she assumes any interest must be pity.
The story rotates POV between Carolina, Xander, Clay, and Josh. I’ll admit I had a personal bias against the name Josh (life experience 😅), but this fictional Josh? Total sweetheart. Supportive from day one. Fawns over her. Absolute green flag energy.
Then there’s Clay—whose sharp mouth matches her attitude perfectly—and Xander, who radiates dominant “Daddy” energy. The dynamics are layered, and I strongly suspect this series is heading toward MMFM. For now, it features MM and FM dynamics separately, with explicit scenes in both. And yes—I loved both.
The book ends on a cliffhanger that immediately makes you want book two. Between the romantic tension and the unresolved mystery surrounding her parents’ case, I’ll absolutely be continuing this series.
