Series: The Protector Book 3
Hanna is determined to leave her controlling boyfriend, but being blind has allowed him to slowly strip away her independence. On her way to the bank, she’s nearly hit by a car—until ex-military Cade steps in and saves her. When her cane is broken in the chaos, it feels like yet another setback. Until Cade steps up again. This is a sweet, fast-paced insta-love contemporary romance where the hero quite literally sees her, protects her, and helps her reclaim her freedom. It’s Book 3 in a series I haven’t read, but it works perfectly fine as a standalone—I didn’t feel lost or like I was missing key backstory.
The story is light, quick, and reads like a palate cleanser compared to darker or heavier romances. Cade’s devotion escalates quickly, but in a charming way. The way he supports Hanna without ever making her disability feel like a burden was one of the best parts of the book.
There’s not much more I can say without spoiling major plot points, but if you enjoy protective, swoony heroes and straightforward romantic arcs, this one delivers.
One note: I wasn’t able to currently locate this book on Amazon, even though that’s where I originally purchased it. The listing now appears unavailable.
