Book Review: Sunday Bear-becue by Celia Kyle

Image result for Sunday Bearbeque by Celia Kyle    Mia and her husband have been trying to grow their family since their now 5 year old daughter turned 1. Sadly, every time she concieves something happens and she looses it. Now that she is pregnant again will she lose this one too or someone else in their backyard explosion?
Heart-wrenching short story that will scare you to death while holding your breath that it can't possibly be true, especially if you are a parent. I hope that we are able to find out more about this little family in the other books as well as other short stories.

Book Review: Howl My Name by Celia Kyle

Image result for Howl My Name by Celia Kyle     Evelynn was forced back to her Father's pack by her Grandmother's will and it is worse than she could have imagined. Her own father is trying to rape her younger sister and her uncles are terrorizing the clan. So Evelynn called the South-Western pack leader, Terrance, for assistance. Hopefully he will send someone soon to save her from the torture she is now under, literally.

Reid was sent by Terrance to check on the state of the pack where they had received a distress call. After saving the young girl from an attempted rape it turns out he killed their pack leader. Whoops. Now to report it to Terrance...joys. And now he is the new pack leader and has to get this group back into shape from its previous horrors. But at least the pretty little bear that called him is fun.

I enjoyed this book finishing it in just over 2 days around work and taking care of the baby. Sadly Evelynn is so sweet and innocent it is like she has no backbone. She shows that she does on occasion but the big strong male gets his way constantly and she just follows along for the most part. They are sweet together but I think them fighting against each other in the beginning of a story is always my favorite part. She is a strong willed female and he is all gruff and masculine but to each their own story wise.

Book Review: City of Glass by Cassandra Clare (Mortal Instruments Book 3)

Image result for City of Glass by Cassandra Clare    Jace and Clary are brother and sister. Simon is a vampire. Luke is a werewolf and Jocelyn is in a coma. What else could possibly go wrong? Well at least Simon can now walk in the light so no more hiding out in his room pretending he has the flu for him. But now that there is a possible way to wake Jocelyn from her coma they will all get some answers. All Shadow-hunters are being called to Alicante for an emergency Clave meeting so now is the perfect time to save her mother. When Jace concocts a plan to keep Clary out of Alicante though, taking Simon with him in the process she must use her power to create ruins in order to get there, taking Luke with her without meaning to.
Now that they are there everyone must work together to keep the Clave safe from Valentine. The only problem is that Valentine has spies everywhere. Who can you trust and who will be your downfall?
The Mortal Instruments series is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I was given a huge spoiler before I even started the series and for those of you who have not had this spoiled to you parts of this series will seem very weird and you will love and hate it all at the same time until it is all explained to you. I promise all the answers you were looking for in books 1 and 2 are in this book. Where she will take book 4 I am not sure. No matter what though I have complete faith that it will be just as spellbinding as the first 3 have been. Good luck and happy reading.

Book Review: The PlayDragon Billionaire by Maria Amor (PlayShifters Book 2)

Image result for The Play Dragon Billionaire by Maria Amor    Bran is a self made billionaire and a constant loves to party. But now his mother is guilting him into finding a mate so she can see her grandchildren. Normally this wouldn't even be a thought to a 50 year old dragon shifter but with Bran's father dying the previous year mortality is high on her mind along with the grief. So for his mother he is now searching for a mate. Sort of.
Serafina is a dragon researcher. Not that she thinks they are real. She knows they are the things of myth and legend. Although, at one point in history they must have existed because how else could so many cultures across the world have so many similar creatures during a time when travel was not far reaching. Now she has the opportunity to study the private collections of one of the largest dragon work collections of the rarest items. Now if only she can stave off her attraction to the male...
Awesome audio-book. I have an absolute adoration of all things dragon and dragon shifter so I am not even upset that this is book two in a series. I do want to go back and read book one now that I do know this. You can read this as a book or an audio-book. As an audio-book it is only a little over 2 hours long so it is nice to listen to on your way to work or while doing a little housework. Either way feisty redhead vs protective male equals count me in. Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
