Book Review: Up on the Housetop by Suzanne Rock

    Since Zack went missing when he and her brother Marcus went hiking in the mountains 5 years ago Chloe has been burying herself in the family business trying to help her father get over the loss of his son as well as be groomed to take over the business, even if this meant giving up all of her dreams. Now that Zack is back can she pick up where they left off or has too much changed?
    Join Zack and Chloe in as they jump into the past and hopefully even start a new future. It is a decent book but again a book that leaves more questions than answers so unless you are in the mood to seek out the entire series I wouldn't recommend it.

Book Review: Awakened by Brenda K. Davies

Sera has a fear of men and she comes by it honestly and as a result she just keeps her head down and focuses on her studies. Too bad her roommate Kathleen has other ideas for her such as going out to a party. What is the harm. Until she meets Liam and she is instantly smitten. And he is just as taken with her although he knows it would be dangerous for her to get close to him.
    Can Sera get over her past to be with Liam and can Liam battle the Monster within himself before he looses control?
    This is a really good story and you are constantly trying to figure out what will happen next. Definitely a whirlwind romance but it has plenty of action to get caught up in. If you life vampire novels or even a good action story with a bit of romance thrown in you will love this.

Book Review: Forks by A. E. Davis

    Welcome back to the town of Forks from Twilight where a new girl has just shown up and she doesn't buy into the whole Stephanie Myers craze but who in their right mind would, right? But apparently the whole town has, to the point where someone is staging vampire-like murders. Hopefully they can find out who before all the girls in the town are gone.
    For someone who likes twilight this would be a good book or read as it is in the same town and seems to be following a similar pathway. Thankfully no one is actually sparkling, except for the "sparklers" but they are just preps. If you are a fan of that tale then crack the first in this series open, personally book 2 will not be one I seek out.

Book Review: The Mind Readers by Lori Brighton

    Cameron has had the ability to read minds her entire life of anyone she has ever met except for her grandmother, a fellow mind reader, until some new guy comes in from who knows where right after a murder hits the town. He says that he is one a fellow Mind Reader and that there are hundreds of them. They also have to remain vigilant from the S.P.I because they want to keep her like a caged animal and run all kinds of tests on her.
    Most importantly though, he wants to show her how to use her powers so that no one else can read her mind and she doesn't always have to hear other's thoughts. Just the gift of silence is enough to convince her once she knows that Aaron, the owner and leader of the Mind Readers was a friend of her dead fathers. The question is who is really right and who is wrong? Who should be trusted?
    This is an amazing book and I don't know if to trust the Grandmother or if to trust S.P.I. or even Aaron. Who is really the bad guy and who is just not understood? I hope all of this is answered in book 2....

Book Review: Thrill by Lucia Jordan

    When the alluring Brandon walks up to Hannah on the sidewalk outside of her office she gives him a piece of her mind only to find out that she is the big client to which she must present to today. Just her luck. But he did manage to get her pain of a supervisor to swallow his tongue so maybe he wasn't all that bad. We'll just have to wait and see though.
    This is one of those lovely books that is all sex and fun and games and ends on a cliff hanger. Personally I do not suggest these books as its like the author just stops at the random part of a book and is like here you go have this in an effort to sell more books. But to each their own. Book Review: Kitty Cat by May Sage

    When your home is under attack and your pride is threatened there isn't a thing you wouldn't do to keep them from harm, even forcing your second in command to do something he doesn't want to do and take the pack to the lands of a loner. But then why is Rygan so possessive of the little feline?
    Ace, as she is lovingly called by those who are close enough to know her, is a loner of her own making and she likes it that way until her infuriating brother comes along with his pride and a bunch of trouble. But how can she say no when its her baby brother asking for a favor? And when the Alpha is so tempting....
    I love that for once the book's back story was about the other pride members and standing up for what is right in that manner. Even if it does mean getting another pride out of the dark ages. All in all I was rooting for Ace the entire book. She is so feisty and can definitely take care of herself. Definitely a book I would recommend.

    I do not care what you are reading or how good it is stop reading it and start reading this. It is amazing. At some points in it I thought that the author had some bad mushrooms or something but all in all without that island the book would have been missing a lot and you would have been left with a big question. Is the Earth really flat? Now we know and you will too if you choose to join this group on their adventures into the Bermuda Triangle. If you have ever seen ghost ship this is better than it.
