This was my book group’s Book of the Month, and I absolutely loved it.

The stalking element is introduced early, but this is not your typical dark stalker romance. Jack may technically fall into morally gray territory, but he’s honestly a total cinnamon roll. When people think “stalker romance,” they usually expect something much darker. This isn’t that. However, there is a very strong touch her and die energy throughout, which I adored.
Chloe and Jack click immediately, but she hesitates because the version of himself he first shows her doesn’t align with the spice level she craves. Once he discovers her online persona and the anonymous dynamic begins? That’s where things really get interesting. The online interactions added tension and a hint of “borderline cheating” energy—even though they aren’t exclusive and it’s technically with each other. Not a spoiler—this is established early and known to the reader.
The romance wraps up satisfyingly by the end of this book, but it definitely feels like Chloe’s friend is being set up for book two. I’ll likely continue the series to find out.
