Book Review: The Best Friend Contract by Athirah Roslan (Athrhteera)

The Best Friend's Contract     Aiden has it all. He is smart, funny, good-looking, and the billionaire CEO of the family company and he has no intention of settling down. At least not for a few more years and until he finds the right girl. Until then he is content to be a playboy. That is until his mother gives him an ultimatum. Get married to someone of his choosing or she would choose him a bride. Say no and she would remove him as CEO. So, Aiden decides to set up a one year marriage contract with his life-long friend, Kenna. After-all, they have been best friends for 20 years. What is one year of marriage to help one out?

Everything is going great until feelings start to develop. Only are the only felt by one? Could this ruin their friendship forever?

I said I wasn't going to read any more books from the Dreame app after the last one, but it honestly wasn't that bad. The editing is horrid. In all honesty this book was harder to read than the last because there were so many editing issues, but the stories on the site seem to be good. I auto-unlocked the entire book so I am not sure how much I paid for it. Probably around $5. It is a cute read where two people who have known each other since they were 6 years old start to look at each other in a new light, but as I mentioned the editing is horrid.

There are placed where words such as what I can only assume were "focused" was instead listed as "f****d" and cursing would not be appropriate in that part of the sentence. They do the same with bra. Other times I don't even know what the intended word was because of the asterisks. Just be prepared for that if you do decide to read it. I am not saying the book was bad. I would say about a 3 star, because if you can get past the awful writing to the story behind it it is both cute and emotional.

I was able to find this book on a few websites if you would like to read it. I don't know how the verbiage is on the other sites as I read it on Dreame, but I will list them here along with links.
Inkitt- Just by clicking through on this page of the site it appears to be a free read here and the errors still appear present.

WattPad-From what I know of WattPad I believe this is a free read as well. Seems the same wording is used in all the sites. Except I didn't see any asterisks on this one, so that might be a good thing.

WebNovel-By clicking through the book appears to be free on this site as well. Same wording. No asterisks seen.

GoodReads- Of course you cannot read the book here, but I wanted to include it. Just so you know the Amazon link on the GoodReads page does not take you to the book on Amazon. From what I found the book is not available on Amazon.

SoFanNovel- Chapters 1-8 are available free afterwards there is a $4.99 monthly membership. It does appear that if you have the membership you have unlimited access to all of their stories.

MoboReader-Prologue is free. I was not willing to download the app to determine if the rest of the book was free or what the cost was if it was not.

Pinterest- Link for a free download is available here. I did not click on it to see for the editing issues.

Dreame-Probably $4.99. They unlock with credits so it is hard to tell sometimes.
