Gideon needs a strong female by his side to be a co-alpha but when his wolf stands to attention for Brie, the submissive wolf from the allied Redwood pack, he is helpless to keep her off his mind. But he will do just that for her sake and for the sake of his pack. When the elders force him to mate though she offers herself up and her will do everything in his power to keep her at his side, even if it is a mismatched pair.The most unlikely of pairs are often what we need the most and it is good to see these two polar opposites attracting in such a phenomenal way. I do feel bad for Brynn though and hope that she gets her happy ending, although it doesn't seem likely currently. Looking forward to reading book 2 when I get the chance.
