When Abby was younger two people were taken from her by vampires. Her best friend and her father. In order for her life to ever be a semblance of normal she has to know if that same vampire killed them or if he simply turned them. For her friend she only had the highest of hopes. Now she is chasing a vampire and Mr. X, whoever he is drops her at the doorstep of one who is bend on revenge of the same vampire who took the two people all those years before. Could he really help her put to rest all that has haunted her for 15 years?
This is a really good book. I enjoyed the mystery of who Mr. X is and who really wanted the king dead. The fact that there is a little romance thrown in and a cross-country travel helped a bit as well. Definitely worth a read.

Book Review: City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare (Mortal Instruments Book 2)
Jace, Clary, Alec, and Isabelle must battle Valentine in order to save the Clave and possibly the world. With Valentine killing Downworlder's for his own purposes and stealing the Mortal Instruments it seems like an overwhelming task. Especially since the Clave itself is against them now that they know Jace and Clary are Valentine's children. Can the four teenagers battle someone who possesses two of the mortal instruments and a horde of demons at his every command?
This is a great series that i can honestly say I have bought all of them in advance. I absolutely loved book one and book two did not disappoint. I really want Jace to not be Clary's brother because they are so perfect together but I do not know that I will get that. None the less everything about the series is amazing, but start with book one first.

Book Review: Cry Sanctuary (Red Rock Pass Book 1) by Moira Rogers
When Abby is turned against her will into a Werewolf and forced into a harem of a pack that her friend is forced to be a part of she doesn't think it can get any worse until they break out and head for Red Rock Sanctuary. Once they get there they are met by Keith, the pack enforcer, the attraction is instantaneous. But can she really choose him to be her guide? Or even stay with the new pack now that the previous pack master, has captured her sister?
This is a new spin on the normal shifter romance and it played out very well. I really enjoyed every aspect of this book and hope to be able to add book 2 to my TBR list. I am torn between wanting Brynn to end up with Dylan and wanting her to end up with Joe and sow his wild oats in a manner of speaking since he is such a play boy. None the less this is a really good book if you like a power struggle wolf shifter romance.

Book Review: Blood Lust by Zoe Winters
Gretta is a Therian, or Werecat, and her pack leader wants to sacrifice her at the full moon of her 28th birthday just to seek revenge on some warlock who went on a killing spree of her kind years before she was born. Now the same warlock is her only hope of safety...and possible more?
When Gretta is poisoned by her pack master for the sacrifice Dwayne, the warlock, calls upon Anthony the vampire to draw the poison from her body. The poison has an adverse reaction with him though making him seemingly drunk and he stumbles off to find Charlee, Gretta's best friend and the object of Anthony's lust. When he takes too much he wipes her memory, but can he give it all back to her with everything he has done wrong?
When Charlee is forced to accept her current life of living with a vampire while trying to get her memory back she meets Jane who can see vampires, a dangerous trait to have, and they become great friends. But when Paul, Anthony's minion gives Jane away to a werewolf everything is far from okay. Can she really give up all of the survival instincts she has had to hone over the years and just let herself feel something for the mysterious Cole?
This is one of those rare three part presents where it is three complete stories wrapped up under one title just waiting to be unwrapped and enjoyed. Amazingly the story flows together, one picking up just as the other left off leaving you no room to wonder where the transitioning came from. All around a great read.

Book Review: Dragons Don't Cry by D'Elen McClain
Bastian is cursed to have to have a bride every 100 years who he must watch grow old and die as he stays young. After all the brides he has had in the past he has decided he will not take another but loneliness forces him back to the claiming ceremony again where he finds Acacia, his newest bride. She is everything he could ever want. Strong minded, willful, beautiful, and so smart. But can he take losing her too?
Loved the twist on the cliche of being given away for the greater good. The whole sacrificial lamb thing. But I love that it is an actual love story and doesn't play with the Stockholm syndrome. Much. This really is a great book and I look forward to trying book 2 to see if Acacia has a child or what is next.

Book Review: Tattered Loyalties by Carrie Ann Ryan
Gideon needs a strong female by his side to be a co-alpha but when his wolf stands to attention for Brie, the submissive wolf from the allied Redwood pack, he is helpless to keep her off his mind. But he will do just that for her sake and for the sake of his pack. When the elders force him to mate though she offers herself up and her will do everything in his power to keep her at his side, even if it is a mismatched pair.
The most unlikely of pairs are often what we need the most and it is good to see these two polar opposites attracting in such a phenomenal way. I do feel bad for Brynn though and hope that she gets her happy ending, although it doesn't seem likely currently. Looking forward to reading book 2 when I get the chance.

Book Review: Tempted by the Pack by Anne Marsh
Lark has come back to Louisiana and is trying to pay off the mortgage of her grandmother's flower farm. But now there is a Blue Moon coming and Momma Jolie has told her that shifters will be coming out tonight to play and if she wants to play with them to run. Maybe she does want to play but with one of them...or maybe all?
If you are into group sessions then you'll enjoy this book although personally this is not one for me and I will not be going any father into the series. If it was just Lark and Rafer than that would have been fine but more than one and I have lost all interest. Open at your own risk.
