Book Review: Wolfsong by Ignatz Dovidans (Moonrise Book 1)

Jumping perspectives between three people who in this book have seemingly no connection we meet a master anti-assassin, a farm boy, and the daughter of a sword-smith. The farm boy was by far my favorite character. He longs for adventure and to get away from his foster parents, when he discovers a new book to add to his collection it soon becomes a prize. Although the secret of his parentage may lead to his biggest adventure.

I found this book by chance while scrolling on TikTok and decided to try it out. I enjoy a good fantasy adventure and although this book starts out a little slow by the time you reach the cliffhanger for each of the characters you are invested. It is one I would have no problem reading more on in the future.

The world building and characters are enjoyable. I will say that it jumps perspectives from one chapter to the next with no cross-over between the three, which leaves a little to be desired, but you can see that the author is eventually building towards something with these characters. Exactly what that is we are not yet sure. All in all it is a sold start to a series.

This book is available on Kindle Unlimited or buy it on Amazon for $3.99 by clicking here
