Danielle Harris is the daughter of an overprotective police chief and a Kindergarten teacher. The last place she expected to be is on the wrong side of town when her car breaks down and she is approached by a rough and sexy biker. Austin "Booker" Carver tries to keep the chief's daughter at arms length, but when a threat is made all bets are off and she is his.
If it isn't obvious by now from my reviews I have a soft spot for bikers. Grew up in a club and they and their activities don't really phase me. I can honestly say that I loved this book from start to finish. Dani is a bit naïve, but she is sweet and isn't afraid to pursue her happiness. Then there is Booker who is kind of an ass, but what biker isn't? Hell, my Dad's name was Coyote.
I think it is sweet how Booker just decides that the car is getting taken care of and she doesn't get a say in it. Yea yea controlling macho whatever. It was adorable. This is the first book I have read by this author, but I doubt it will be my last as I really enjoyed it.
I can't say if the books in this series are a stand-alone or not, yet, as this was book one. Everything wrapped up nicely and I don't feel like I'm necessarily missing anything if I were to not continue on to the next book.
