Book Review: The Battle of the Labyrinth (Percy Jackson Book 4) by Rick Riordan

    At long last it is time for Annabeth's own quest to prove herself. Her's is that she must face the darkness of the Labyrinth, find her hero, and save the camp. Easy. And with Kronos rising it will just be another walk in the park for her, Percy, Grover, and Tyson. Who knows, they might even find the God Pan along the way.
    With monsters at every turn this book is very hard to put down. One moment I find myself hoping Annabeth makes the right decisions and the next that maybe it is all up to the strange little mortal they find themselves with. If you are a lover of Percy Jackson and his travels don't stop with just the first 3! Now on to book 5!

Book Review: Desert Hunt (Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch Prequel) by Anna Lowe

    When everyone makes every decision for you and all you want is a little freedom to be who you are inside it is like you are trapped. So Rae put in for a transfer from her pack to another. She ended up in Arizona of all places, but who knows maybe it will be for the best. Plenty of room to run. Better yet, no Jed.
    When a new wolf come to the pack the half breed coyote-wolf shifter isn't sure what to make of her other than that she smells like all of summer and hope all wrapped together. Too bad she is off limits. His best friend and future pack leader said so himself. So he will just have to keep his nose....and his hands to himself.
    Hunt with Rae and Zack for prey...and maybe even a little more.
    For anyone who loves a woman with a possessive streak and a man who knows how to pick his battles this one is for you. And with a little shifter spark thrown in who can blame you? Honestly it is an amazing book full of past scars and future promise. Sometimes that's all you need to make it through the day.

Book Review: The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson Book 3) by Rick Riordan

    Percy, Thalia, and Grover must save Annabeth from Lucas and The General. In order to do so they must partner up with the Hunters, a crew of immortal girl hunters under a goddess. The prophecy foretells of one who will be killed by their father and one who will be lost in the desert. Can they overcome these things and still have the forces to rescue Annabeth and stop the plan to raise Kronos from the depths?
    As always the Percy Jackson series is near and dear to my heart. I had never read more than the first two books before so I love that the books do not lose any of their spice as they continue on. I cannot wait to find out if Percy is out 16 year old hero or if it is one of the others.

Book Review: A Shade of Blood by Bella Forrest (A Shade of Vampire Book 2)

    When Ben and Sophia are back in Cancoon they have to find out if they can pick up where they left off or maybe even add a little more flair to their relationship.  If Ben can get past what Claudia put him through and if Sophia can get over the fabulous Prince Derek that is.
     Meanwhile back in the Shade Derrik must learn how to live without his light, Sophia, without giving in to the darkness inside of him. On top of this it is time to prepare his forces against the Hunter's as they are growing in strength everyday.
    When Derek's twin seeks out Sophia on the mainland who knows who she will choose. Battle the emotions and fight for your life in book 2 of the A Shade of Vampire Series.
     I really enjoyed this book. It picks up directly where the last one left off and that is something that is rare in books. None the less it is a fun book that has a lot of surprises that I never expected. If you like stories that keep you guessing than this is definitely a series for you!

Book Review: A Shade of Vampire Book 1 by Bella Forrest

    When Sophia's best friend Ben forgets about her birthday she goes to the beach to get her mind off of everything. How could he forget her 17th birthday?!? But now there is this extremely attractive man beside her so maybe it won't be so bad after all. Oh if only she knew. He has whisked her away to some kind of dungeon where he turns out to be a vampire. Just great. Oh and to top it off you're a present for some sleeping prince vampire when he first wakes up. Greatest birthday ever. Hopefully you have a chance to escape.
    Derek wakes up from a 400 year slumber and his sister greats him with his personal harem. Not the worst way to wake up he supposes but could he at least feed first? No sense in killing innocents. But one of them...she's different than the others. And the longer he gets to know her the more she means to him. Maybe she will be the one good thing about waking up...
    Spend time in the treetops with Sophie and Derek as they try to find their place in this new world with only each other to depend on. Maybe Sophie will escape or maybe she won't be able to.
    I was a little off-put but the main character being so young but it wasn't as bad as it could have been so I was pleasantly surprised in that manner. Honestly it has a great story line and am excited for book 2 which is one of the next on my TBR.

Book Review: Hunted by a Jaguar by Felicity Heaton (Eternal Mates Book 4)

    Keiter has been called home due to a tragic event, his father has finally found his mother and now no one is safe. To avenge his mother he must seek out a object that will bring his father to him where he can finally kill the demon. While searching for the location of this object Keiter find Iolanthe, an elf, searching for the same thing. Damned treasure hunters! But there is something different about this elf. It's possible she is his fated mate. But that can't be...could it?
    Fight with Keiter and Iolanthe and they battle both each other, assassins, and even family. Maybe they will come out together and maybe they will kill watch other. One thing is for sure. No one is going to be controlling these kitties.
    Action, mystery, and a whole lot of romance. All my favorite things all wrapped up in a pretty little package. If you get a chance to read this book do it! But be warned. It is book 4 in a series and every book is just as heart-stopping as the last. Really hoping book 5 is Blu...poor guy is kind of overdue for some happiness. Can't wait to dive into book 5!

Book Review: Stone Cold Magic by Jayne Faith (Ella Grey Book 0)

    Being a cop is no easy business but if you are a demon patrol officer it is even more so. You could die at any time. And Ella did. For 18 whole minutes. Now that she's back she feels like there is someone else with her. Maybe it is just her imagination. Or maybe this will help her find her long lost brother and save a little girl's brother along the way from her evil family.
    This book was a very fast paced read filled with demons, gargoyles, and magic. For anyone with a flare for paranormal mystery you would enjoy this book. As long as you don't mind books that end at what seems to be a midpoint in the story.

Book Review: Dark Desire by Christine Feehan (The Dark Book 2)

  A rare blood disorder means you have to have regular blood transfusions. Orally. Because not only do you have to be a freak but you have to be a vampire-like freak. But what if it goes deeper than that? You have a nightmare man in your mind and now these vampire hunters are in your office saying you are one of these mythical creatures. Time to escape. Book Review: Troubled Nate Thomas: Book 1 by Lexy Timms

    When star football player Nate is required by Coach to have a babysitter, one he has to pretend is his girlfriend no less, or else be benched for the entire season he is beyond pissed. Who wouldn't be? Not only can he not be his playboy self but he also has to be benched until this little woman will say hes fit to be back on the team. But maybe this will be good for him...who knows?
     Amanda is saddled with this overgrown brute of a 10 year old. Seriously, its like everything is a game to him. And the first day he met her he dumped a beer on her and started a wet tee shirt contest. Could he be any more of a child? Now she has to babysit him and keep him out of the papers. Just great.
     Keep your eyes on the papers and your head out of the girls as you go head to head with Nate and Amanda in this brutish book.
     This book is amazing. One second you hate them both and the next your head over heels in love. Your emotions will be all over the place. If you find this book in your area pick it up, hold on tight, and get ready for one hell of a ride. They don't call them Bouncing Broncos for nothing!

Book Review: Bitter Bite by Jennifer Estep (Elemental Assassin Book 14)

    I have to admit, this book took me forever to get through and I cannot say that I was overly thrilled with it. It had a nice plot, but it was boring to my taste. This book has a lot of action in it and has a magical quality- in that magic is used. If you are interested in crime bosses, betrayal, and death you may enjoy this book.
