Book Review: Stepbrother Untouchable by Colleen Masters

Image result for stepbrother untouchable     Brynn has had a crush on Nate since the first moment she seen him in the second week of her freshman year of college. Since then she has had 3 classes with him and he has never once noticed her. Not until she goes to a party at the end of her Junior year and he asks her to join a three-some. To make things even more embarrassing when her mother and her mother's new boyfriend take her to dinner to announce they have gotten married she discovers that her longtime crush is her new stepbrother.
The only problem is now she has to spend the entire summer in the same house as this arrogant playboy while his father gives her the opportunity he had wanted. To make matters worse Nate knows just how attracted she is to him and is using it to his advantage. How is she going to keep her hands to herself when it comes to this sexy, annoying man?
In no way can I say that I was against this book. While it seems like a moral grey area for her to have feelings for and pursue the feelings of her stepbrother she was crushing on him long before their parents got married. Poor Nate is so damaged and misunderstood that he needs Bynn's help. Brynn has always had to be the adult in her mother-daughter dynamic, something that I can relate to.
I am glad that everything turned out the way that it should have. All in all this is a fun, sexy book that leaves you hoping for a sneak peak into something just as fun for Brynn's friends. Even if it is just so I get to check in on how she is doing in the future. After-all Brynn is a hard girl not to fall for.

Book Review: August Raven by LeAnn L. Morgan

Image result for august raven leann     Morganna never knew her real father because her mother had left him as soon as she had found out she was pregnant. They were from different social classes and he could never love a woman like her. It has been almost 17 years and the abuse from her step-father can no longer be ignored. Morganna must set out to find her birth father.
Morganna is shocked to find that he is a well-known pirate and herself on his ship disguised as a boy named August Raven. When it turns out that she is a pretty good ship-mate and earns her father's respect how can she tell him that she is not only a girl but his daughter?
The biggest complaint I have about this book is the fact that it only took me 2 hours to read it. I was caught up in the story from the moment it started and hope that there will be more to the story in the future. I feel that Morganna has so must potential and hope everything goes well for her in the future. To anyone looking for a pirate book that does not have romance in it this is the one for you!
