Book Review: Barbarian Prince by Michelle M. Pillow

    Morrigan is a reporter for the intergalactic news-chip and her mission is to uncover the truths about the barbarian qurilixen people re-virginizing their women before mating them off to be brides (becoming a bride is their choice.) When she meets Ualan she feels instantly attracted to him and even momentarily forgets her purpose there. But despite her best efforts she ends up married to the large caveman.
    Ualan cannot understand his new wife. She desires him and yet she forces herself into slavery just to not have to deal with him. It is one thing after another with her and she keeps threatening to leave him. Gods, he will never understand this little woman who makes him love her despite her best efforts.
    Interesting story about space travel and big dragon shifters. The shifters are not a normal portrayal but the whole reporter falls for her story thing has been done so many times it is almost a cliché. It was cute though because you weren't entirely sure if they were going to stay together or not.

Book Review: Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

    Ethan lives in a nothing little town where nothing ever happens. Everyone has the same friends they have always had, everyone has the same teachers as their parents, and everyone already knows who they are going to marry. That is until Old man Ravenworth's niece moves into town driving his hearse. Then nothing is the same. Not to mention the dreams Ethan has been having about her. There is no doubt that their fates are entwined. And he would not have it any other way.
    The thing about Lena is she is different than any other girl anywhere. She can cause a massive storm, break windows, and even talk to Ethan with her mind. This just draws the two of them even closer together. Too bad her uncle is the town recluse and Amma, Ethan's adopted grandmother, is the own seer and they are both doing everything in their powers to keep the two apart. The pending claiming does not help matters either.
    Truly an amazing series. I watched the movie first and it made me need to read the book. The book is by far more amazing than the movie but I love both and now cannot wait to read the next in the series. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have!

Book Review: Savage Bite by Milly Taiden

    Zurie has been hurt so badly by her ex-husband that she has buried herself in her schooling. Now her mother has forced her to go to a shifter mating event in town. Just great. Savage is a big bear shifter who does not think he will ever find his true mate and in a way that is okay. He has enough to handle with just dealing with his lazy pack. Now that he has found her at the mating event that he is acting as a bouncer at for his friend he will never let her go. Now to claim her heart as he has claimed her body.
    Zurie is a plus size girl from what little information that we get on her size but you'd never know it except for the one sentence about it somewhere in the middle of the book as Savage makes her seem beyond beautiful. It was a cute little book but honestly not really my type of book.

Book Review: Barbarian Alien by Ruby Dixon (Ice Planet Barbarians Book 2)

    Liz is a tiny brunette ball of pure sass. It is her way or no way at all and by no means is anything ever going to get forced on her. That means this "saving" by the big blue aliens will be her choice. The cootie that they have to get in order to survive on this planet also her choice. And if she gets a big blue alien husband it will be her choice too. But when Rahash starts vibrating for her she may no longer have a choice.
    Rahash has had a long horrible childhood and has never had a mate. Now he is resonating for one of the little fragile human females. To make matters worse his little female seems to hate him. "Rahash is scarier than most." Her words keeps repeating themselves in his mind. No. He will make her love him. He will not lose her like his father lost his mother. Not going to happen. If only his little female will stop her constant chattering.
    Liz is my current favorite person in the world. She is sassy and wants what she wants and no one will stand in the way of exactly what that is. If she doesn't want Rahash near her than no cootie is going to force her to mate the caveman. Too bad the more she gets to know him the more she can't stand to picture life without him. I will read the rest in this series although I feel that Kyra's book will be nowhere near as interesting as she is meak and mild and not at all the sassy ball of fire that is our Liz.

Book Review: City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare (Mortal Instruments Book 4)

    Jace has been acting weird recently, looking tired and hollow and avoiding Clary. Is it possible that the love they shared was just because it was forbidden? Honestly it is due to bad dreams but it is possible that those dreams could be so much more than just nightmares.
    Meanwhile Simon has two girlfriends and is being tracked by a vampire and what appears to be muggers. Seems like there is more to the muggers that meets the eye. Hopefully they will be able to figure out everything that is going on with Jace as well as help Simon with his issues as well.
    As always Cassandra can whisk you away to another world and wish that you could be right where our glorious Shadowhunters are. Right in the action and loving every second of it. Holding our breath when your favorite teenagers are in a battle where we don't know if they will survive. I just hope that we can save Jace from his latest problem in the next book. Too bad I don't own it yet.

Book Review: Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon (Ice Planet Barbarians Book 1)

    Georgie has been captured by aliens, probed, and is now being tossed into a cage with 9 other females all 22 and just as scared as she is. Then she finds out there are 6 other girls in pods in the back. Apparently they are going to be sold as cattle. If they can only escape before someone else gets raped for screaming by the aliens captives. When they crash land on a ice planet they have to think quickly if they want to survive.
    The big blue alien was all of 7 feet all and is wanting to start their meeting with a little oral fun. A girl could get used to that. Except for the fact that she needs to get help for her friends back at the crash site. Could she possibly get both?
    This book is dirty and sexy and all kinds of lovely. If you are wanting a human-like sexy alien romance then this series will be your new favorite as it is quickly becoming mine. I loved it so much that as soon as I finished book one I started and quickly finished book two. This is a ten book series and I hope to be able to read all of them.
