Ari has a complicated relationship with Danny, whose tastes ten to run dark. But, he helped her and she owes it to him. He's gone too far this time, though. Giving her to one of the club members for a month to pay off his debts while reminder her she belongs to him. Zander isn't sharing, though.
This is book 4 in the Highest Bidder series. While you could read these as standalones there are a lot of background character spoilers in this book.
Zander has been in every book in this series as a background character. I love that we got to see things from his perspective and how he became what he is. I like to think both main characters in this book are equally messy. I really enjoyed Ari slowly trusting and opening up to Zander during their time together.
Something I love about this series is each book has a prologue that is in the book. It's just a random snippet while the couple is together, but builds the anticipation of details surrounding that event and where they will end up.
With this book we have the accomplished all the background characters, except Madam Lynn, who definitely needs her own book. Perhaps Charles who debuted in this book? I think that would be a match worth reading.
